Around the house

Around the house we have 4 horses, a bunch of chickens, 2 dogs, guinea fowls and magpies galore!! The horses tend to be our lawn mowers as well, so as you can see this is out the front door.

Quite a strange sensation when your relaxing in the house and a horse walks past and looks in the window or front door at you! In the background is Kappinghat national reserve sporting many types of wild life, wallabies, snakes, koala etc.  There holds many tracks to walk on. The horse in the front is "jack" and in the background is "dolly".
Right is Tia checking out my camera!

Taree NSW here we come..

Ok, so we are in NSW a little place with population of 20,000 people called Taree. It's awesome, the people are friendly, helpful and curtious! We are living just outside of Taree in a small area known as Koorainghat, right next to a national forest (Kappinghat). We flew from WA to Sydney and then up to Port Macquarie, staying one night in a motel and then buying a little car (1: cause we needed to get around and 2: to carry baby, in January, plus the pram and about 1 million nappies etc).
Right; Our little hyundai parked up at home, by the national forest.
So, we have the car, yipee.. off to work at the Manning base hospital also known as MRRH (Manning Rural Referral Hospital), the people remain kind and very hospitable.  Days off and we head off to look around, there's beaches left, right and centre plus inland are a few towns. We love where we live, winding gravel road with meandering fields.  Horses grazing and wallabies bouncing off the country road as we drift past on the way to town, work or sight seeing...
Left: Our road in the morning.... just stunning!!
Below: The amazing view of meandering fields on the way home.

On the first couple of days off we headed down to a place called the Old Bar which is by the beach, we cruise along and head along to Wallabi Point, a spot for the keen surfer, then whip on down to a spot 25km away called Manning Point, which is a hidden secret! such a beautiful spot and a little place called the Water Bird restaurant, where we are told the food is awesome and delicious (though we will save that for another day).
The next week we decide to head to Bulahdelah where i manage to find trivial pursuit for $2, yep thats $2 in a opt shop...i am chuffed with my find...the town is like out of a movie in some ways and i find myself surprised that there is no cowboys on the street with horses tied up...as its a beauty. The next couple of pics is taken whilst we drive along the coast heading from Taree through Forster (pronounced Foster) down toward Bulahdelah.
Left; Seal Rocks Beach and Below Right; Sugarloaf Point and lighthouse, sometimes you can see whales passing by, definetly worth the short walk up the hill and a great camping ground there...

Then its off to Gloucester inland about one hours drive with population of about 2,000 people...
once again driving through the country side
of green and tall Eucalyptus trees towering along the edges of the road until we come across the view of this little town at Mograni lookout as seen right. Background Glouster. There is soooooo much to see in the surrounding country side.
Left; Sugarloaf lighthouse window.
On the way we see sights native to Australia that you wouldn't necessarily see elsewhere. I came across a shed that I liked the look of and of course asked my wife to pull over.. a photo in the making is what I see.  See for yourself what you think, personally I love it (Right).
Of course in between these short jaunts around (and close by) Taree I am working at the hospital. I find the view to and from work is never boring and there is always new things to look at, including the Manning river which winds around the town and dissappears into the country side.  Below; The Manning bridge and Left; Manning River.
Lots of photos I know, but theres lots to look at too. Anyway on with our journey. Actually for now I have only to head home. Just across the bridge (left) is some trees that bow (no its not my fish eye lens), on my way home especially in the morning I get to admire these trees. Below is a photo for you to enjoy. The sun blasts through and the first morning heat of the day begins.
